Fly Blue Crane to launch JHB - Mthatha route
August 2016 - On 1 October 2016, Fly Blue Crane will launch its new route between Johannesburg and Mthatha in the Eastern Cape.

Initially, the airline will operate two return flights per day on this route, with additional routes being added at a later stage to connect Mthatha Airport to more South African cities
Fly Blue Crane's Johannesburg to Mthatha fares start from R799 one way, which is far lower than the current.
Fly Blue Crane's Head of Airport Operations, Stompie Tshesane, said the airline was in the final stages of preparing to service the Mthatha to Johannesburg route.
"We will be operating an Andrea 145, which is a jet and is a 50-seater aircraft," she said.
Bookings for the new route will be open soon.
