Directions: Travelling from Durban, take either the N2 North or South before joining the N3 Pietermaritzburg. Take the M13 exit off the N3 and then the St Johns Road / Pinetown exit. Turn right into St Johns Road and travel across three sets of traffic lights.
Our First Car Rental office will be on your left-hand side, before the 4th traffic light.
About Pinetown
Pinetown is located just 16 kilometres west of Durban, between Kloof and Westville.
The city has had a subdued reputation and has been primarily known as a light industrial town. However, suburb is slowly gaining recognition in the property market, especially for first-time buyers.

Paradise Valley Nature Reserve
Paradise Valley Nautre Reserve offers total escape from city life. The nature reserve sprawls over about 100 hectares of coastal forest and grasslands. The Umbilo River winds its way through the full length of the reserve.
Visitors can go on self-guided walks that offer excellent opportunities to see some very exciting birdlife, as well as Bushbucks, Blue Duikers and Dassies (or Rock Hyraxes).

Inchanga Choo Choo
Take a thrilling ride on the Inchanga Choo Choo that departs from Kloof and heads off to Inchanga, a little station perched between Durban and Pietermaritzburg. Along the way travellers can enjoy the breath-taking views along the Valley of a 1000 Hills.
At Inchanga, visitors can enjoy shopping at the vibrant local art and craft market, indulge in good food, or enjoy a picnic at the many well shaded spots.

Krantzkloof Nature Reserve
Situated just 12.6 kms away from Pinetown, Krantzkloof Nature Reserve offers spectacular views across the well forested gorge cut by the Molweni River. The reserve's best attraction is the well developed picnic area adjacent to the dam at the head of Kloof Falls.
From the picnic site, visitors may proceed to Bridle Road and enjoy spectacular views from two well marked view sites. Self-guided walks begin at the picnic areas and visitors may view the falls or descend into the gorge, following the river course.

The Pinetown Museum
The Pinetown Museum is located in the library complex on the corner of Old Main Road and Crompton Street in Pinetown, Durban. The small but quaint museum focuses on local history and provides an overview of the development of the Pinetown region from prehistory to modern times.
Local history displays include well-known settlers and characters from the region dating from the mid 19th century, the development of the Paradise Valley waterworks, Edwardian furniture and other paraphernalia.
