    Dear First Car Rental,
    I regularly use First Car Rental via my company's Show&Go corporate account. I usually rent a VW Polo as this is the model I own and feel safe driving.

    Today there was no Polo available at the OR Tambo International Airport branch. I told my rental agent, Moloki, that I didn't mind waiting for one to come in. Moloki then came back to me saying (and this blew my mind) that he had found a Polo, and it would be delivered to me from the Sandton branch within 45 minutes.

    First Car Rental, you have a great employee in Moloki. Thank you.

    Dear Lana,
    Thank you for going the extra mile this afternoon with regards to my client.

    I know in our industry we are quick to land in hot water should something go wrong, but not many acknowledge when we go out of our way, and in this instance do something that is completely not our job description, to make sure we have a happy client and keep our company's name high.

    So thank you for understanding the client's dilemma and mine and giving results instead of excuses.

    It was a pleasure dealing with you this afternoon and I look forward to having to deal with you again.

  • 18 February - WINNING LETTER

    Dear Adelle,
    During my two week rental in Cape Town I picked up a chip on the windscreen from a stone thrown up by a car in front of me. I reported it to your Cape Town Branch Manager and she immediately arranged to have the chip repaired by one of her staff members.

    Unfortunately I cannot remember his name, but he came out to where I was working and repaired the chip before it could spread. I want to recommend both the branch manager and the repairman as they both provided exceptional service, going out of their way to please a customer.

    I would also like to take this opportunity to thank your Johannesburg O R Tambo International Airport team - Belinda, Justin and Leroy specifically - for great service. I often fly into this airport on business and have always been greeted with a smile, receive instant service and drive out of there within minutes.

    This kind of service is unfortunately very rare in South Africa these days. Thanks again.

    Dear First Car Rental,
    When we went to collect our rental from your Cape Town International Airport branch, our vehicle was upgraded from a Ford Focus (our original booking) to a very nice Nissan X-Trail. We returned the vehicle empty of fuel and were charged the exact amount it took to fill it up.

    Excellent service, reasonably priced and a pleasure to deal with.
