Saved! Wet Nose Rescues Two Stray Dogs in Bronkhorstspruit
July 2017 - In June, our CSI partner, Wet Nose, saved the lives of two cold and then stray dogs in Bronkhorstspruit after one of the dogs had fallen into an open manhole. Wet Nose inspector, Veronica, and her team rushed to the rescue.
Says Shelley Meistre of Wet Nose Animal Rescue Centre, "Once at Wet Nose, the two dogs were reunited, gulping down food and water. Their love for each other is so sweet to watch. After observation in our clinic, the two dogs are doing very well. They are together in a kennel, learning to trust people again and will hopefully soon find their new forever home."
About Wet Nose
Wet Nose is a non-profit organisation that rescues, rehabilitates and re-homes abused, abandoned or lost animals.
The organisation believes that all animals have a 'Right to Life', meaning that no animal is put to sleep, unless it is suffering severely and cannot be saved.
Since 2009, First Car Rental has been a proud supporter of Wet Nose, which relies solely on donations from the public and corporates.
How to help:
- • If you can’t adopt, help by donating. Cash donations can be deposited directly into the Wet Nose bank account. All cash donations are tax deductible and a section 18A tax certificate can be issued upon request.
- • Kennel sponsors are the best way of supporting Wet Nose. The kennel sponsorship is deducted via debit order every month and you can set the amount for whatever you can afford.
