Top international artists who'll be in SA in 2016

At last, more international artists are starting to tour South Africa. Over the last year, the Foo Fighters, James Blunt, Michael Buble, One Direction, John Legend, Nicki Minaj, Josh Groban, Mariah Carey and Iron Maiden have all visited our beautiful country.

Now find out who'll be touring the country over the next few months:

  • George Benson

    1. George Benson (11 - 15 June 2016)

    Legendary American jazz guitarist and singer/songwriter George Benson will be in South Africa from 11 - 15 June 2016. He'll be performing at Cape Town's Grand Arena on 11th and 12th June, and at Johannesburg's Ticketpro Dome on the 15th June.

  • Seal

    2. Seal (12, 14 & 16 June 2016)

    Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter, Seal, will be performing at the TicketPro Dome in Johannesburg on 12 June, the ICC Arena in Durban on 14 June and the Grand Arena in Cape Town on 16 June.

  • J.Cole

    3. J.Cole (18 June 2016)

    For one night only, American hip-hop sensation J. Cole will be performing in South Africa. The show is at the TicketPro Dome in Johannesburg on 18 June. Tickets have already sold out, but there are always other ways for the determined, like Gumtree, where people who bought tickets but can't go will be selling theirs. Be wary of scams and overpricing.

  • Chris Brown

    4. Chris Brown (2 July 2016)

    Multi-platinum-selling artist, Chris Brown, is the headline performer at the Mother of All Parties, taking place at Kings Park Stadium in Durban on 2 July 2016 as part of the Vodacom Durban July weekend celebrations, which will also be featuring a number of South African artists.

  • Shaolin Monks

    5. Shaolin Monks (28 June - 10 July 2016)

    Shaolin is the ultimate display of theatre and physical prowess. The 20-member cast of ordained Soldier Monks from the Shaolin Temple in China perform incredible "superhuman" feats. The show combines traditional Shaolin Kung Fu, inch perfect choreography with dramatic lighting and sound that evokes the spirit of their traditions in one breath-taking performance. They'll be performing at Montecasino in Johannesburg from 28 June - 10 July 2016.

  • The Manhattans

    6. Legends of R&B (21 - 24 July 2016)

    A brand new music series, Legends of R&B, featuring the world's best R&B artists, has been launched in SA by Big Concerts. The first of the series will be showcasing American vocal pop R&B group The Manhattans with Gerald Alston and Regina Belle. They'll be performing from 21 - 23 July at Montecasino, Johannesburg, and on the 24th July at Cape Town's Grand Arena.

  • Tomorrowland

    7. Tomorrowland UNITE (23 July 2016)

    Tomorrowland UNITE - the mirror to Belgium's Tomorrowland - is coming to Johannesburg on 23 July 2016. Featuring a live video connection to the original Tomorrowland in Belgium, expect wild visuals and an unrivalled line-up that make this one of the biggest and best electronic music festivals in the world. Over 300 DJs, including the likes of Armin van Buuren, Skrillex, David Guetta and Steve Aoki, will be performing in Belgium, with a live feed to South Africa.

  • Ronan Keating

    8. Ronan Keating (17 - 20 August 2016)

    Ronan Keating has achieved 40 million album sales with Boyzone, 22 million sales of his nine studio albums and 14 Solo Number One singles including 'When You Say Nothing At All', 'If Tomorrow Never Comes' and 'Life Is A Rollercoaster'. He has performed in 50 countries and is now coming to South Africa. He'll be performing in Cape Town on the 17th August and in Johannesburg from the 18th - 20th August.

  • Joy of Jazz

    9. Joy of Jazz (15 - 17 September 2016)

    Some of the world's best jazz artists will be performing at the 2016 Standard Bank Joy of Jazz festival. This includes tenor saxophonist Houston Person, singer Deborah J Carter, vocalist Jose James and Rene Lee, as well as African artists such as Barney Rachabane, Judith Sephuma, Miss Lira, Nomfundo Xaluva, plus many more. The festival takes place from 15 - 17 September in Johannesburg.

  • UB40

    10. UB40 (5, 8, 10 & 12 November 2016)

    Big Concerts has confirmed that UB40's three founding members will be making a triumphant return to South Africa, having wowed audiences across the world proving they are still a worldwide tour de force. They will be in Cape Town on the 5th November 2016; Port Elizabeth on the 8th November; Durban on the 10th November; and in Johannesburg on the 12th November.
