Originally built as a backdrop for the movie 'Shaka Zulu', Shakaland offers an enriching Zulu experience, affording guests insight into their history, heritage and contribution to modern society.

Guests get to choose between the 3-hour Nandi Experience or, for a truly educational experience, there is an overnight Culture Tour.

On the overnight tour, guests experience and participate in a traditional ceremony, learn about customs and social systems, consult with a sangoma (spiritual leader) and an inyanga (traditional herbalist), see traditional dancing (ukusina) and sample home-brewed beer.
