Rivierplaas Campsite

Rivierplaas is one of the few pet-friendly campsites located in the Western Cape, and only an hour and a half's drive from Cape Town. It's set on a large property on the banks of the Breede River, with ample outdoor space for kids and pets to explore.

Campsite facilities include hot showers, flushing toilets and braai areas. There is no electricity on site, so campers will need to bring their own cooking and lighting equipment (gas or solar powered). All tents, caravans, motorhomes and bush trailers are welcome.

Fun activities on site include swimming areas, the river, foefie slide, marked hiking and MTB trails. Nearby attractions include 11 wine estates and three olive estates on the Worcester Wine & Olive Route and the Karoo Desert National Botanical Gardens.

• Adults: R80 per night

• Kids: R40 per night

• Pets: R40 per night
