Motseng Cultural Village, North West Province

Song, dance, poetry and stories
Launched in 2004, the Motseng Cultural Village is a living museum where eight of South Africa's indigenous cultural groups share their customs, traditions, cultures and histories through song, dance, narrations, arts and crafts.
A guided tour through the village showcases the different architectural styles and social structures of each cultural group.
The tour also includes a visit to the local sangoma (traditional healer) for readings and discussions, and traditional dancing featuring dance styles of the different tribes.
The cultural village also offers a local bar with traditional food, beer and music, and a curio shop with a variety of crafts and art made by locals.
