One of the best things to do in the Midlands on a weekend is to head to the Karkloof Farmers' Market. This fresh produce market is conveniently housed in a converted shed, so don't let a rainy Saturday morning stop you from shopping.

The market offers some of the best fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs from local farmers. Gardening enthusiasts also have an assortment of fresh flowers and seedlings to choose from and will love the indigenous plant nursery.

After you've filled your basket with fresh, organic produce, indulge in the large selection of handmade cheeses, tempting baked goods including cakes, brownies, cookies, pies and quiches; not to mention health breads and muffins.
