With 30 rides from thrill-rides to kids and family rides, Gold Reef City has something for the whole family to enjoy. Johannesburg's favourite theme park offers everything from a stunning opera house and six state-of-the art movie theatres, to thrill-seeking rollercoasters and helicopter rides.

Some of the top rollercoaster rides include the Tower of Terror - a 90-degree 50m drop into an open mineshaft, the popular Anaconda, and the Golden Loop, which goes up almost 40m at speeds of up to 85km/h.

Other attractions include a museum where you can learn about the gold rush, an underground mine tour, speciality stores and an array of restaurants. For majestic aerial views of Johannesburg, take a ride on the Giant Wheel – remember to take your camera!
