Asoka Restaurant and Bar

Asoka is one of the trendiest hangouts in Cape Town, known for its live jazz and deep house sessions on Tuesdays.

The restaurant is located in a beautiful a Victorian townhouse in the midsection of Kloof Street.

The décor transports you to the far corners of the Orient, with intricately carved Indian doors and Japanese-style bamboo barriers. Right in the centre of the restaurant is and ancient tree with branches that spiral up and out of a rectangular skylight in the roof-giving the room a mystical tea garden feel.

Besides the fantastical ambience, Asoka offers a really delicious spread of food ranging from canapé-like starters and tapas, to mains and platters - all created with Asian fusion flavours.
