How do you motivate your team?
I believe in setting clear goals, involving my team in the decision-making process and keeping them
informed on the progress. Acknowledging and celebrating our achievements.
How do you stay in touch with the larger operations team?
When I started my career, I fell in love with car rental and the people I work with. I enjoy spending time
at our branches, interacting with our customers and seeing first-hand what the ops team experience
on a daily basis. This keeps me in touch with what is actually happening at the coal face.

What is your recipe for success, how do you always make sure you stay First?
For me this is quite simple. Unless you are prepared to truly listen to constructive feedback and willing
to make the changes that are required for improvement, you will be left behind. Myself, my team and
our company embrace change.
What is your top local travel destination?
Cape Town and anywhere coastal. The ocean is food for my soul.
What are your must-haves for travelling long distance?
My cellphone to stay connected – this will ensure that I don't get lost, considering my sense of direction
and most definitely my hairdryer, I don't go anywhere without it.
