The South African Disabled Golf Association's First Swing Program hosted their fourth annual Interschools Festival in Gauteng last month, and First Car Rental was thrilled to be a part of this great cause. The festival aims to give young aspiring golfers with disabilities the chance to compete against each other in a spirited competition on a modified golf environment. The tournament had 3 schools competing—Alma School for the Disabled, West Rand School and Pretoria School, with West Rand coming out on top.

A fundraiser for this event also took place during the week at Zwartkops CC. Here, twenty three four balls were played and each fourball had one disabled golfer playing to create awareness. The SADGA revenge hole where abled-bodied golfers had to play a shot using one arm or standing on one leg created a lot of fun amongst the players.

First Car Rental once again provided the team with a branded vehicle for the week. This ensured that they arrived at each event comfortably, on time and in style. SADGA and the FTP Program has always been close to our hearts and we were happy to discover that the children affectionately renamed the bus "Purple Turtle."
