Saved! Wet Nose Rescues Two Dogs in Bronkhorstspruit
July 2017 - In June, our CSR partner, Wet Nose, received a call about two stray dogs running around the streets in Bronkhorstspruit.
Kids were playing in the street and could hear a dog crying. They called for help after noticing a manhole cover had been stolen and a dog had fallen into the manhole. Wet Nose inspector, Veronica, and her team rushed to the rescue.
Later that same day, a second call came in reporting another dog running around the same area. The team returned to catch a second dog, and locals informed them that the two dogs were always seen together.
Says Shelley Meistre of Wet Nose Animal Rescue Centre, “Once at Wet Nose, the two dogs were reunited, gulping down food and water. Ttheir love for each other so sweet to watch. After observation in our clinic, the two dogs are doing very well. They are together in a kennel, learning to trust people again and will hopefully soon find their new forever home.”
