A living museum and secluded hideaway, this lodge is a unique concept combining original ox-wagons with modern comforts. Guests at the Oxwagon Lodge relive the adventure of the 1800's, experiencing an unforgettable stay in an authentically restored ox-wagon.

The lodge has 6 original ox-wagons, the smallest of which sleeps two and the largest can accommodate six guests. Each wagon has been restored into a charming main bedroom attached to a chalet that comprises a living room or second bedroom and a private bathroom.

Other accommodation available at the lodge is the Backpackers Inn, a converted double-decker bus with four single beds and 14 bunks.

Hartbeespoort Dam and the surrounding areas offer a range of outdoor activities from water sports, flights and hikes to animal sanctuaries, sightseeing tours, farm stalls and a film set.
