A floating home away from home, Houseboat Myrtle in the Knysna Lagoon offers the perfect place for a tranquil getaway.

Myrtle is a self-catering facility with a kitchen nook with a stove and fridge, study area, dining area, and a hot shower and toilet.

The self-contained cottage on the water sleeps four guests on two double beds, with a deck off the main bedroom. The decks offer splendid views of the lagoon, the quays and the Knysna Heads.

There is also a braai on the deck for those who like to cook outdoors whilst taking in the views, enjoying a refreshing swim or trying to catch a fish. Cold days and late nights are best spent around the fireplace inside.

For those who don’t want to stay in, the restaurants and attractions on the waterfront are easily accessible.
