Glen Reenen Campsite, Golden Gate National Park, Free State

Glen Reenen Campsite

Bring your tents, turn off your appliances and just relax around the braai.

Situated close to the Golden Gate National Park, the Glen Reenen Campsite offers a range of accommodation options, including rondavels and family cottages. For those who wish to be closer to the natural environment, the camp offers caravan and campsites.

The campsites are available with communal ablution facilities and cooking facilities. Guests have the option to select between spots that have power and those without for a more rustic experience.

The camp offers a holiday programme for guests to enjoy during the April and December holidays. Activities to enjoy at Glen Reenen include an environmental education course for the whole family to enjoy, horse riding, abseiling and canoeing. The birdlife in the park is vast and a key attraction for many birdwatchers.

The nearby town of Clarens, which is known as the “Jewel of the Free State”, has many arts and craft shops which offer guests a wide variety of shopping options, as well as popular attractions like the Clarens Museum and Titans Rock.
