Giba Gorge MTB Park, KwaZulu-Natal

Giba Gorge MTB

A network of trails that traverse the valley

Set on 300 hectares of challenging terrain, Giba Gorge is one of KwaZulu-Natal's most popular lifestyle destinations for mountain bikers. The park offers a mix of technical challenges including rocks, roots, drops and tight switchbacks, up and downhill.

The trails at Giba Gorge started as a hobby in 2007. Today, the labyrinth of trails that traverse the valley are divided into various colour-coded routes offering a variety of technical aspects. The trail network includes many link-ups that allow the rider to flow from one trail to another, creating a different riding experience on every outing.

Giba Gorge also features a world-class combo BMX track which offers some of the best permanent dirt jumps in the country, making it a magnet for young and old.

Good2Go is the onsite bike shop offering bike sales, maintenance and bike hire, bike spares, accessories and apparel, as well as custom bicycle builds.

If riding is not your forte, enjoy a meal and a cappuccino at the Giba Café. Their menu offers delicious breakfasts, salads, pastas, pizzas, cakes, organic foods and coffees. The park is also a popular destination for children's parties and offers a variety of party packages hosted in the lush picnic area.
