See Elephants at Addo Elephant National Park

The perfect destination for the adventurous

Addo Elephants

Port Elizabeth is the only city in the country that has a Big 7 National Park. Escape to the bush and spend hours scouring the pristine Eastern Cape landscape for wildlife at the third largest national park in South Africa, Addo Elephant National Park.

Established in the 1930s to save 11 Elephants on the brink of extinction, the park is now home to a herd of over 500 elephants, offering guests the best elephant viewing opportunities in the country. Hot days at the reserve are the best times for sighting elephants at waterholes.

Addo Elephant National Park is a perfect destination for the adventurous outdoor and nature lover. Guided game drives at sunrise, sunset and at night offer more opportunities for sighting the big five, while marine tours offer the opportunity to see a glimpse of a great white shark or southern right whale.
