GBTA Southern Africa Workshops

GBTA SA recently held workshops in Pretoria and Cape Town, where experts debated how travel distribution trends are impacting the travel buyer.

These discussions were focused on the hard conversations taking place around distribution content, direct connects, data access, and traveller centricity - setting the tone for debate and dialogue about the travel industry's future. This included heated debates about booking via a Global Distribution System vs booking direct.

The workshops were led by Storey, Dr Andre Schulz (Lufthansa General Manager for Southern Africa), Johann Nortje (Group Revenue Manager at Tsogo Sun), Monique Diez (Head of Sales, Sabre Corporation), Otto de Vries (CEO, Association of Southern African Travel Agents) and Marco dos Santos (Travel Manager, Massmart).
