First Car Rental transports SCOTT-Odlo MTB
April 2014 - First Car Rental was the official transporter of the SCOTT-ODLO MTB TEAM for the 1st leg of the 2014 UCI MTB XCO World Cup.
The world cup was held this weekend at Cascades MTB Park in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal.

SCOTT-ODLO's World Champion rider, Nino Schurter, was heading towards victory, but, with two laps to go, a puncture saw him finish in 6th place.
The winner of the Men's Elite race was Frenchman Julian Absalon, riding for BMC Racing; 2nd was Manuel Fumic, Cannondale Factory Racing; and 3rd was Maxime Marotte, BH-Suntour-KMC. SCOTT-Odlo's Florian Vogel ended in a worthy 11th place out of a field of 80 riders from around the world.

Schurter and Vogel's team mate, Marcel Wilhaber, started off the grid in 44th position and ended in 30th place. A tough, but well executed ride.
In the Women's U23 race, the SCOTT-ODLO's newly-signed Swede, Jenny Rissveds, claimed victory after riding upfront and strong from the start.
In the Men's Under 23, SCOTT-ODLO's Andri Frischknecht from the SCOTT-ODLO MTB RACING TEAM finish in 12th place after having started in 27th position on the start grid.
