Bruce Barritt appointed CMH Executive Director

June 2016 - Bruce Barritt, Managing Director at First Car Rental, has been appointed an Executive Director of Combined Motor Holdings (CMH) Limited.

CMH, a JSE listed group, is the parent company of First Car Rental.

Barritt has been working in the car rental industry for over 37 years. He founded Truck and Car Hire Zimbabwe in 1979, and Tempest Car Hire in 1986, which was subsequently sold to the Imperial Group.

Barritt joined the CMH Group in October 1999 to launch a car hire division. He was appointed Managing Director of CMH Car Hire (Pty) Ltd in 2000.

The car hire division initially traded as National Alamo, but was rebranded to First Car Rental in 2008.

Barritt has been a member of the CMH Group Executive Committee since 2004 and has extensive business and industry experience.
