Ellis Park Stadium – Johannesburg

The Ellis Park Stadium is also known as Coca-Cola Park and is a major soccer venue in the Gauteng province, in the centre of Johannesburg. This 2010 stadium situated in Johannesburg and was also one of the host venues for the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup and was also host to the iconic 1995 Rugby World Cup Final.

This 2010 stadium has been earmarked as the venue for the Soccer World Cup semi-final and with a capacity of 70 000, the event is sure to house a jam-packed, thrilling atmosphere.

In order to meet all requirements as a semi-final match venue, the Ellis Park Stadium underwent major renovation, including new upper tiers being added on the north side and behind each goal, as well as the addition on 10 000 seats. Other additions made were state-of-the-art media facilities for broadcasting, as well as a classy VIP area, a new pitch and an improved audio-visual setup to ensure that all fans are kept informed during the course of the game.
