Cape Town being my hometown is always a happy event if returning after a long, tiring journey. In most cases I don't expect preferential treatment, playing fair is in most cases more rewarding than being the winner.
The welcoming smile and greeting when approaching your offices really helps with feeling at home. Shafiek, thanks for that smile and always remembering my car of choice and the happy "good evening Mr. September". Joshwin, your friendliness and interest, "how was the journey?". The tall gentleman from George (can't recall your name), always polite with all your customers. Alida, that extra touch of "I care" and that million dollar smile, it was noticed last but not least, Justice (before your offices moved), your offer "can I drive you to departures" especially with my early flights, "when are you returning, see you then".
Once again thank you, that extra touch, interest and care, contributes towards being the winning team. I'm currently in Durban and honestly looking forward to my return on Friday evening. Keep up the good work!

Hi there. We have just been to SA for 10 days and rented a car from your company and would just like to say we were really impressed with the service we got from all the staff we dealt with at Cape Town Airport. They were all professional, friendly and helpful.
The lady who collected the car from us, Alida was particularly good as ran to fetch us trolleys for our luggage when we arrived and the whole process was really made quick and easy.

Morning. The rental went very well. I has such good service upon receiving the car. They even offered me a CPT map and places of interest to visit. The vehicle was clean; I was shown how to operate the car etc by a gentleman named Daniel (he was lovely). Upon the return I was met by Anver whom checked the vehicle and took the effort to drop me of and assist me with my luggage to check in. Dear Colleen. As you are aware I had the most embarrassing time with Tempest car hire yesterday only to find out afterwards that every time they swiped my card for deposit purposes, R2500, it held the funds. I have no doubt that it could well have been a combination our fault and a system problem. My Sara kept transferring funds into my card account which, as we all know, takes 24 hours to mark-up.
The problem was resolved with the assistance of your Sarah Louw at your OR Tambo office. By the time I met with her I was rattled as I had a meeting in Centurion Pretoria at 11 am and had no transport due to the lack of wanting to assist by Tempest staff.
Sarah had me on the road in 15 minutes after dealing with me the bank and making every effort to ensure that I had wheels. Sarah is a lateral thinker and must be an inspiration to your staff and customers and in particular the customers that were in your office at the time who witnessed her caring approach and attitude that she adopted to resolve the problem. She is a true ambassador of your company and an example of going the extra mile to assist a customer.
I will never use any other car company and have already shared my experience with a number of people. Well done Sarah and First Car Rental.

Dear Viv. I know I gave you feedback on the arrival at First Car Rental's Cape Town International Airport Branch and the collection of the car, which was friendly, efficient etc. - especially with me adding a driver, and changing the dates. However, I wanted to give you feedback about the return.
In the past you would arrive and frantically hunt around for a trolley, a person to check the car etc. This time as I pulled up, there was someone with a trolley, who took out the case of wine from the boot, put it on the trolley, checked the car, and had my signature very fast and very efficiently. I was very impressed. Please let First Car Rental know.

Good morning. I am in awe of the service I received from Douglas in Cape Town. Previously he assisted me with a vehicle as I had last minute changes in Cape Town, therefore had to return my rented vehicle to AVIS, and could not get it renewed at a decent tariff, and had end up with your company after he signed, sealed and delivered the business deal. (For me to get a vehicle).
Tuesday, this week, I had made numerous calls to your Call Centre, Cape Town Airport branch to get some clarification on some rates and packages, and after having had to explain myself to every person on the line, I thought it would be best to call him straight away, and get to speak to him. Unfortunately he had been off duty and I had to wait another two days, but am so glad to got hold of him yesterday mid-day when he answered the phone. We had some laughs and some serious talks too. It was worth the wait to be assisted by him.
Herewith I just want to say that I do admire such a nice person to deal with, who (Douglas) has got such nice telephone etiquette (pardon the spelling) and have the ability to explain your terms and conditions associated with the packages you offer, in such nice, understandable detail or fashion rather, that one does not need to ask any more questions, and truly find that your company has got no "small print" or "hidden clauses". He will remain my prefer contact with your company as I am yet again in awe of him. Thank you for First Class Service - always.

Hello to the Customer Service Team. Some well-deserved praise, and a request.
The Situation: On Monday evening 26 April this year, just after 10 pm, I arrived at the "old" Durban International Airport on a much delayed flight from Lanseria. My wife then called to say she would not be able to pick me up because our electric driveway gates at home were opening and closing independently of each other simply "as they pleased" and she was unable to deactivate them, nor "take a gap" and sneak the car through! So, no pickup for me, and no taxis because the airport was already in close-down mode!
The Praise: I hot-footed it to your office and car park only to find the ladies already in the process of locking the front door! They very kindly opened up and quickly arranged a car for me. Phew, and great service, thanks! I returned it the next morning. Total distance travelled: 18kms.
The Request: I certainly would appreciate it if your kindness and efficiency could extend from the super emergency help given that evening to a rebate on the overall cost of the hire

I received excellent service from Beverley from the OR Tambo office. I was querying the reason why the balance of amount that was blanked off on my credit card had not yet been released (either by the bank or by First Car Rental). Beverley quickly went through the records and realised that the problem was on the side of the bank. She called them and within 5 minutes called me back with the news that the blanked off amount had now been released. I really appreciated that!
