There was a huge problem with this client when he was collecting the car from Umhlanga branch. It was a blessing that this client landed in Shane’s hands, Shane went all out to help and accommodate the client in the situation. I’m bringing this to your attention because I feel that what Shane did that day must not go unnoticed.

It is so nice to know that there are still people that are prepared to go the extra mile.
I take my hat off to Shane. He saved the day with a positive attitude even though he was being screamed at, insulted & shouted at by the client for absolutely nothing, he still managed to remain professional & go all out. You don’t get that more often these days.

Good day to you. I would like to take this opportunity to highlight Beverly’s Service Excellence, which went beyond the norm that I have ever experienced. I would like to point out that I have travelled extensively overseas, mainly UK, Europe and USA, and am really pleased to have

experienced the Best Service that I have ever received, locally, here in South Africa. I arrived from Cape Town on 25.02.2010 for the day, returning home later the same day.

To keep it to the point, after a small glitch (from my side), I was unable to get my vehicle booked with First Car Rental (as I had my wife’s credit card and not mine with me, not very clever I know!). I was introduced to Beverly, who after hearing of my predicament, asked me to sit for a few moments while she would try to organise some form of help for me.

Beverly returned a short while later, and had organised a solution to my problem. (I needed transport to an 11.00am appointment in Pta, and then a further appointment in Springs at 14.00pm, then back to the airport to fly back to Cape Town later that day. And without my credit card!)
She could have adopted the attitude “your problem not mine”, however, she really went out of her way to make me, firstly feel comfortable, secondly attending to sorting out “my” problem, which she did successfully.

Beverly, you are an “Angel of note”, God bless and keep on helping people because that definitely is your “forte”. Please pass on my sincere thanks to her.

I would like to thank your colleague at your Cape Town Airport operations named Douglass, for his friendly and humoristic attendance with which he attended me with. Not only did he gave a quite competitive quotation (which I took eventually after shopping around properly) but he was genuinely a pleasure to be assisted by and what was great, he recognised me from two months earlier! Which was kinda nice though, I must admit!

May I say a huge thank you to Douglas … at your Cape Town branch where he quickly assisted me with a rental vehicle for our business trip to Cape Town.

Friendliness I suppose is just in his nature since he really went out of his way to let me choose my color and vehicle brand in the category B that was available on our arrival.

He knew all the tariffs and waivers, liability amounts etc. I thought he was reading it all from the screen, but then my wife pinched me and said to me that the agent looked me straight in my eyes chatting up a storm with all these amounts and figures! AMAZING that you get a talking computer with a personality. WAY TO GO 1ST CAR!

You will get lots of business with him at the steer of your boat in Cape Town! I will pass on the great experience we received to all our business colleagues.

We paid your offices a visit to enquire about a long-term rental and he was so kind as to inform us of all the safety features and extra services your company give. My daughter and I were looking for the best deal to hire a long-term vehicle whilst she is studying in Cape Town. He was really concerning and had all our needs attended to! I want to commendate him on a fantastic warm personal touch he had earlier today!

Hi there. I just wanted to drop a quick line to say how pleased my husband and I were with the service we received from First Car Rental on our recent trip to South Africa. We were in SA visiting family from Mid-Feb to Mid-March and during that time rented 3 separate vehicles from your company: a Nissan wagon (picked up at Cape Town airport), a Toyota van (picked up in Downtown Durban), and an Opel Corsa (picked up at CT airport). We were very pleased with the vehicles, and incredibly impressed with the professional and courteous service, particularly from Joshwin and Alida at the CPT arrivals centre.

Good Afternoon. I got your e-mail address from your office in Loop Street to thank your staff member working at your kiosk in the Arrivals Terminal for International Clients this morning.

My partner and I landed from Germany early this morning past 05:00am and were very swiftly assisted by the gentleman on duty. (Wearing a bright yellow soccer shirt and Mo-hawk styled hair)

Although there was a queue and I had to wait 50 or so minutes to enquire about a rental, he did assisted my partner and I without any hassles and was so kind and friendly (looked a bit off and had a croaky voice too due to flu) but did work in a fast yet professional pace to get every client before me sorted, signed & on their way.

I certainly appreciated his efforts in not allowing us to rent from your competitors, we certainly got a decent deal for the 13 days so my business partner whom I accompanied by air to South Africa can have transport. And may I add, my business partner was extremely impressed. He will certainly be an asset to your company during the Soccer Season to hit our shores soon! Kindly pass on my utmost thanks! Earlier today we had 2 reservations with Europe Car, and we had to take at least one saloon type vehicle. The Mini-van option we cancelled with them and came to your offices where we were promptly assisted by a young man DOUGLAS. We preferred to take the unlimited mileage option, but the price tag were a bit too steep so the gentleman opted an alternative category which was a NISSAN XTRAIL. Our quote we got from Europe Car and also at HERTZ was in the region of R14035 for the 9 days. With you we got the deal at R7200.

We were so elated and amazed! We will certainly spread the word and a big thank you to the agent that accommodated us so friendly and swiftly! This will certainly be a vacation to South Africa to remember. Thank you dearly.
