We want to thank you for sorting the car for us. We had the best time ever in your wonderful country and had a good balance of action-packed days with complete relaxing. We did the sights, the winelands and of course the Garden Route and met some great people along the way.
Jeffrey served us at your First Car Rental Loop St Branch and was very professional, friendly and smart. He also did full vehicle handover and vehicle was in good condition.
Although we had problem the PE end, your customer services fixed it quickly and without fuss so a very good rental all round.

I would like to convey my sincere gratitude to your counter assistant, Joshwin for the exemplary manner in which he handled what must have been a very difficult car collection due to unusual circumstances.
The story was as follows:
I had heard that my sister was not expected to survive the day after sudden deterioration – she had cancer. I was on a flight from Durban – I collected my baggage and was making my way to collect my car from First Car, when I got the news that she had died at 12.10 p.m. – Needless to say, I was very shocked and hardly able to function – so I spent some time just standing looking out of the window in your airport office, not know whether I could even speak –I felt devastated.
Eventually I made my way to the counter – Joshwin was on duty there – I had to explain what had just happened to him as I was hardly able to contain my emotions, as would be expected. To make matters worse he had to tell me that my license had expired that day as well –so 02.02.2011 was not an easy day by anyone’s standards!
He was of course, overwhelmed by what I was saying and just politely said “I am so sorry about that mam” and continued without any fuss at all. He arranged the required indemnity form and of course all that took a little longer. He then asked me if I was sure I felt alright to drive and accompanied me to collect the car – we had to stand waiting for it to arrive for a couple of minutes. Without saying a word he gently put his arm around my shoulders for a few seconds….to show his sympathy – I will never forget that young man’s kindness.
Thank you Joshwin. That gesture meant more than a thousand words could have, at that very sad point.
The delivery person was equally polite and very helpful in checking the car and he also asked if I was sure that I was capable of driving myself and that I should be careful. It was good service and over and above that an understanding and appreciation of another person’s situation in such sad circumstances. That is true empathy, such a valuable quality in life.

I would just like to say a special thank you to Rashid – I returned a Chevy Spark on Sunday at 4pm & was late for a flight out to Dubai. Rashid was very quick in checking the vehicle and letting me sign off on it and then offered to take me to the drop-and-go to save me time. He then also declined a tip which I had offered him in gratitude. He was truly a polite and wonderful employee and certainly deserves a special mention.

Good afternoon everyone,
In this fast-moving world it’s so rare that one comes across exceptional service; when you do all, you want to do is shout it from the rooftops.
We were in a real pinch; one of the UK producers on our show had a family member stuck in George due to delays at the airport. On the verge of missing a connecting flight to the UK, we hatched a plan. If we could get our passenger to PE she could make a flight to JHB and still make her UK flight - Carol’s first thought was… FIRST! She called Sam (JHB) and explained our dilemma. Sam put us in touch with Trevor Du Toit in the First Car Rental George branch who organised that Jannie Mafuti to drive her to PE.
Trevor was amazing and calm and immediately sprang into action. It wasn’t 17 minutes from Carol’s first call before we were all set to go. Our passenger was safe in the car and on the move. In a nutshell, your service has been impeccable!
I really want to thank your whole team for such excellent service – it’s a pleasure to work with you.

I would like to commend a lady by the name Chantel from your King Shaka International Airport Branch. She made my first dealing with your company a very pleasing and pleasurable experience.
I had an issue with my credit card and the funds were not reflecting on the card. She was calm about it, made me feel at ease and ensured that she provided a solution to my problem. She made the phone call to my credit card company and allowed me a platform for me to talk to them directly and the problem was solved within a few minutes.
Throughout my time at your branch she was kind, friendly and very welcoming and even offered to show me to the car herself. This being my first rental with your company, after probably renting from the rest on a personal capacity or business, I found that First Car Rental was above the rest with their service. Thank you and stay on the First spot.
