Vusi Khanyile wins the BEE Empowerment Leader AWARD

Thebe Investment Corporation Chairman, Mr Vusi Khanyile, has won the BEE Empowerment Leader Award at the 2009 Barloworld Wits Business School Empowerment Awards.

The Wits Business School – Barloworld Empowerment Awards give recognition to companies striving to achieve sustainable economic transformation in South African society.

The awards are the product of rigorous research, which incorporate strict performance and benchmarking criteria and includes sustainability fundamentals. This approach also facilitates an opportunity to recognise the impact of BEE.
Companies who are nominated to represent the pinnacle of broad based value and wealth creation.

Mr Khanyile who has been at the helm of Thebe since its inception in 1992 said, “I am pleased with this achievement and all the credit goes towards the Thebe Group team for their contribution.”
