European Car Hire Partnership
In Europe, First Car Rental is partnered with Sixt Rent a Car, which was founded in 1912 and was voted Best Car Rental Company in Europe for 2008 for the third consecutive year.
Sixt AG is Germany’s largest car rental company and one of the leading full-service leasing providers.
Ownership
CMH Car Hire (Pty) Ltd t/a First Car Rental is a wholly owned subsidiary of Combined Motor Holdings (CMH), a JSE-listed group. In November 2006, CMH Group announced the BEE transaction with partner Thebe Investment Corporation (TIC) to complement its existing BEE activities. The venture valued at R295 million gives TIC 15% of the economic and voting rights in CMH, and two black directors, VP Khanyile and LCZ Cele, were appointed to the Group Board of Directors. |

Thebe Investment Corporation – Thebe Tourism Group
